Open Board Positions

We would love to have you join us on the Weatherford PTA Board!  We have a few open positions for the 2024 - 2025 school year.  If you are interested in serving please let us know! president@weatherfordpta.org

Communications Chairperson

Time Commitment:  Weekly throughout school year, mainly done at home at your convenience

Duties:  Post updates on PTA social media channels; send out bi-weekly newsletter via email; assist in creating flyers to send home with students

Corresponding Secretary

Time Commitment:  1-2 days per month throughout the school year plus monthly board meetings

Duties:  Coordinate monthly staff birthday treats; write thank-you notes to donors and volunteers; coordinate gifts from PTA to retiring staff

Council Delegate

Time Commitment:  1 council meeting per month throughout the school year

Duties:  Attend monthly Plano PTA Council meetings; report updates from council to Weatherford PTA board at monthly meeting

Fall Fundraiser Chairperson

Time Commitment:  Weekly from August - September 2024

Duties:  Elicit donations using an online fundraiser platform; organize prizes for participants; Communicate event details with school staff and families

Trunk or Treat Chairperson

Time Commitment:  Weekly from September - October 2024

Duties:  Organize candy donations; coordinate staff and community groups to create trunks; advertise event with families

Spring Fundraiser Chairperson

Time Commitment:  1-2 days/month in January - March 2025; weekly during April 2025

Duties:  Coordinate our Silent Auction! Contact possible donors & collect donations; set up auction displays and bidding; collect payment from winners and distribute prizes
