Open Board Positions

We would love to have you join us on the Weatherford PTA Board!  We have a few open positions for the 2025 - 2026 school year.  If you are interested in serving please let us know by emailing  president@weatherfordpta.org or filling out this interest form:  WE PTA Board Interest Form

VP of Membership - 

• Reach out to staff and families to promote PTA membership!
• Run a table at Meet the Teacher in August to encourage families to join.
• Upload purchased memberships to Texas PTA.  This is mainly at the beginning of the year, though a small upload usually happens at the end of each month.
• Can be done from home, but your presence is helpful at back to school events to promote membership!

VP of Volunteers -

• Send out volunteer sign-ups to our school community for PTA events throughout the year.
• Flexible position that can be done at home!

Spirit Wear Chair -

• Help our families and staff show their school spirit by coordinating the design and sales of our school shirts and other spirit items!
• Mostly done on your own time, but will involve running spirit wear sales tables at some school events. 

Yearbook Chair -

• Create our Weatherford yearbook!  We usually work with a company (TreeRing) that has online design software that includes colorful graphics, design themes, pre-made layouts, and tools to add text and photos.
• Coordinate a student cover design contest.
• Notify families about discounts, deadlines, etc. throughout the year.
• 95% of this is done at home on your own time!  It may require some time during school or at school events to take pictures.  You can also form a committee to help with taking pictures and designing the pages - you don’t have to do it alone!

Webmaster -

• Help keep our school community informed by updating our PTA website!
• We use software called Membership Toolkit to share events, newsletter communications, sell spirit wear and memberships, etc.  It comes with a robust help center full of tutorials and help articles, so anyone can learn!
• Done completely at home at your convenience.  Will have website updates 2-3 times each month throughout the year.

School Supplies Chair -

• In the spring (usually February/March) work with the school to get current supply needs for each grade level, then get price quotes from supply companies.
• Share purchasing details with our school community through flyers, newsletter, social media, etc.
